At this time, the Silken Windhound breed is not yet recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC). As a result, Silken Windhounds are not able to be registered by the AKC and cannot participate in AKC events as purebred dogs.
However, SWHCOA is hopeful that AKC will soon recognize our breed. If and when this comes to pass, we will update this page with the upcoming events that Silken Windhounds are eligible to participate in. We hope that day comes soon!
